Hindsight has a way of making all of us look a little foolish. You see the issues now. You know exactly what you’d say differently. But you didn’t know then, and you couldn’t have. Some lessons only come with time and experience. Go easy on yourself when you look back. Forgive the version of you who made those choices. You did the best you could with what you knew, often while hurting.
