That voice telling you God is disappointed in you isn’t Him. For years, I thought it was. Every time I messed up, I heard, “Shape up, or I won’t bless you.” But Jesus showed exactly what God is like. And it’s pure love and grace (John 1v14). He won’t threaten you or use fear to motivate you. He won’t tell you your situation is punishment. What He does say is “I love you,” “You’re forgiven,” and “I’ll never leave you.” That’s the voice to listen for. If it doesn’t sound like love, it doesn’t sound like God.
