Jesus said “My child” before He said “Stand up.” When a paralyzed man was lowered through a roof, Jesus started with who he was: “My child, your sins are forgiven” (Mark 2v5). Do you see? He called him His while he was still on that mat. It’s the same with you. Your situation—past or present—doesn’t determine your standing with God. He calls you His whether or not anything gets fixed.
