You’ve probably learned to hide the parts of you that feel “unclean.” A leper in Jesus’ day lived with that label. He was kept out of public, required to announce it wherever he went. But he’d heard something about Jesus good enough to risk breaking the rule anyway. When he approached Him, Jesus didn’t step back. Moved by compassion, He reached out and touched him. That’s still how God relates to you. He’s not repelled by you; He’s drawn to you.
