You may have grown up thinking about the cross as “the wrath of God satisfied.” But maybe it wasn’t about that. Consider that the cross wasn’t about Jesus doing something to change God’s mind about us. It was Jesus going to the most extreme length to change our mind about God. Maybe it’s as Paul said, He died to prove His love for us (Romans 5v8). To reveal Him for the rest of time as a good Father. Selah.
