Post-vacation blues always hit me for a few days. That heavy feeling when something you loved is over and you return to routine. But this morning, I remembered something in the creation story that helps me. God created humans on the sixth day of creation, after all the work was already finished. What’s more, He made us for Eden, a Hebrew word that means God’s delight. A place with nothing to earn and nothing to prove. Sin broke that, but Jesus came to bring us back to it. In Him, we enjoy what we were made for: a position of rest, peace and security. Sounds like a vacation for your soul. One that never ends.
