I always hear the worry that grace makes people lazy. And I get why it sounds logical. But it’s backwards. It’s not love that makes you hide or coast or give up. Fear does that. Fear of punishment, fear of not being enough, fear of what God thinks of you when you blow it. Love does the opposite. Love makes you run toward your Father. And that’s where real growth and healing and wholeness happen. God’s love doesn’t slow me down. It’s what gets me up every time I fall.
