The way you were raised, the relationships that hurt you, even the doctrine you were taught—it all shapes how you view God. If love felt unpredictable, you probably feel like you have to earn His love. If people let you down enough times, you start expecting the same of God. But God isn’t like anyone who’s ever hurt you. Whatever shaped you, it didn’t shape Him. He’s never been inconsistent, never been cold, never been unavailable. He isn’t waiting for you to get it together before He draws close. He already is.
