Loving yourself isn’t the opposite of humility. It’s actually the fruit of it. Because you’re not saying “I love me because I’m impressive.” You’re saying “I love me because God does.” That’s not pride. That’s agreement with your Creator. You exist because He delighted to make you. That makes you both lovable and loved. Not because of what you’ve done. Not because of how well you’re doing. Simply because you are.
