A photo appeared on my feed recently. “This day 14 years ago.” It was me just before I started ministry. People couldn’t tell, but I was hostage to shame, insecurity and mind games. What finally freed me wasn’t another spiritual discipline. It was unlearning lies I didn’t even know I believed. Many that sounded godly, which made them hardest to let go. If you feel stuck, the problem may not be your effort. It may be what you believe. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal the truth you need. He will, one at a time. Here’s one I know will unravel a whole web of lies: God is good and I am good with God.
