The truth was always there: “God has poured His love into our hearts” (Romans 5v5). I just didn’t feel it for nearly 30 years. The solution wasn’t getting the truth from my head to my heart. It was getting the truth from my heart to my head. There were a lifetime of lies in the way that I had to reject. And when I did, the feeling—and the healing—came.
