The enemy thought the cross was the end of the story. But God was doing something the devil never saw coming. Yes, every sin, shame and failure was absorbed there, that’s real. But it wasn’t anger that put Jesus on that cross. It was relentless love. God didn’t send His Son because He was furious. The cross wasn’t meant to change God’s mind about you. It was meant to change your mind about God. To prove how He feels about you (Romans 5v8). It’s the most expensive love letter ever written.
