Think that God’s waiting on you to improve? Like He’s pacing heaven, watching the clock, hoping you’ll hurry up and get better? He’s not. You’re already at peace with God (Colossians 1v20). Already washed, justified and sanctified (1 Corinthians 6v11). None of that came from your progress. It all came from Jesus. Yes, God cares about change, but He’s not worried about it. His most important work was finished with your salvation. He promises to finish anything else in His way and time, from a place of peace, not pressure (Philippians 1v6).
