I teach grace. I encourage others with grace. But some days, I struggle to let myself have it. I catch a mistake and think, “I should’ve known better! I had the tools, the experience, the faith.” But I’ve learned that knowing better doesn’t make you immune to being human. Fear still triggers reactions, fatigue still clouds judgment and pressure still impairs performance. That’s why we have a Savior. Not just for the moments we didn’t know better, but for the times we did. God isn’t shocked by your failure. He already accounted for it. He already decided to forgive you. Accept it. And forgive yourself.
