I sleep with a white noise machine, and sometimes, I “hear” music in it. Turns out, that’s a real phenomenon: the brain tries to make sense of the noise and creates a phantom melody. Why does this matter? Because your brain does the same with your thoughts. If you constantly think, “I’m a failure,” your brain will search for proof and make it feel true. But if you focus on truth—“I am forgiven; I am loved; I am complete in Christ”—your brain will begin to believe that instead. That’s the power of mind renewal (Romans 12v2). Changed thoughts change how you see, hear, feel … and live.
