You’ve Been Harder On Yourself Than God Ever Was

If you’ve ever felt like your mistakes are too big to forgive—or that you somehow deserve to suffer for them—I want to remind you of something powerful.

God never expected you to be perfect.

In fact, He knew you couldn’t be.

That’s why He sent Jesus. Not as a backup plan, but as the plan.

If perfection were possible, the cross wouldn’t have been necessary.

Your imperfections don’t surprise God. They don’t disqualify you. They’re the very reason grace exists.

So, as I’ve been sharing recently, this is why you can forgive yourself.

Not to excuse what happened, but to agree with God that what Jesus did is enough.

That your guilt doesn’t get the final word.
That you don’t have to carry what He already paid for.

If you haven’t said it yet today, say it now: “I forgive myself.

Not because you’ve earned it, but because God already gave it.
