Many Christians mistake grief, sorrow and sadness for weakness or a lack of faith. 

Yet the Bible never condemns grieving. In fact, it encourages people to grieve. 

For everything there is a season, a time for every activity under heaven. … A time to cry and a time to laugh. A time to grieve and a time to dance. —Ecclesiastes 3:1, 4

Even Jesus grieved upon hearing news of the death of his friend, Lazarus (John 11:35). 

The truth is, God designed grief as an emotion that’s important in the healing process.
