This might sound a little wild, but if you’re stuck in a bad habit, the most powerful thing you can say is:
“God loves me!”
Now, I’m not saying keep doing something unhealthy.
But if you find yourself in that place, your best shot at real freedom isn’t guilt—it’s love.
Guilt makes you hide.
Love brings you home.
Examples of this are all throughout the Bible:
- Adam and Eve hid in shame, but God’s mercy pulled them out.
- David sinned big time, but he kept going because he knew God’s love is bigger.
- The prodigal son didn’t come home because he felt bad. He came home because he remembered how good his father was.
So next time you’re in the middle of the mess, don’t run from God.
Run to Him.
Run to His love.
Healing happens through presence not pressure. Change is fostered through grace not shame.
