How to Instantly Shut Down Negative Thoughts

Kyle WinklerBy Kyle Winkler

God designed the mind and mouth to have a unique connection with each other.

As I explore in my Win With Words series, our thoughts influence our words and our words influence our thoughts.

Sadly, though, because of our fallen nature, this often creates a cycle of negativity that’s hard to escape.

Unless you know a little trick that is the practical application of 2 Corinthians 10:5:

We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ.
—2 Corinthians 10:5, NLT

In my short Instagram video below, I teach you the trick using a fun counting backward exercise.

It sounds strange, I know, but it’ll make sense when you hear it. And it’ll help you to instantly shut down negative thoughts (like fear, insecurity, rejection and shame) whenever they attempt to invade.
