Picking up from Monday’s message, do you ever wonder:
- How do I know what to accept as truth?
- How can I be sure that what I’ve seen or heard is really from God?
These are powerful questions—and ones that Scripture answers with clarity.
Every time the Bible talks about renewing your mind, it points back to a few central truths:
- God is good,
- Jesus has forgiven you,
- and your standing with God is secure—based entirely on what He’s done, not what you’ve done.
Take Ephesians 4:23, for example. It says, “Be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”
True mind renewal always reveals two things:
- Who God is.
- Who you are in Him.
There’s real spiritual power in knowing who you are and whose you are.
But here’s what’s amazing—science backs this up too.
As your mindset shifts, your brain and body begin to align with your beliefs. Your cells respond. Your perception changes. You begin to live differently because you think differently.
So the next time you’re unsure whether something is from God, ask yourself: Does this remind me of His goodness? Does it affirm who I am in Christ?
If the answer is yes, then take it and embrace it.
(Let’s talk more about this in my Mindset Reset series.
In it, you’ll discover the specific thoughts that are especially powerful when it comes to how you see God, how you see yourself, and even how you think about sin.
