If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably felt the pressure to have it all together—to be polished, productive and perfectly put-together.
But let me tell you something I’ve had to learn the hard way: you don’t have to be perfect to be loved or used by God.
Here’s a simple prayer I wrote and recorded this morning (view on YouTube) to carry you through those anxious, overwhelmed or self-critical moments:
Father, I don’t feel like I measure up today.
But You say I’m complete, not by my effort, but by Your grace.
So I lay down the pressure to be perfect. Help me see myself through Your eyes—redeemed, restored, and deeply loved.
I’m not a project to fix; I’m a person You’ve already made right.
I receive that truth today.
And as a special thank-you for being here, today only (August 18,2025), I’m offering my book Permission to Be Imperfect for a donation of any amount. It’s filled with encouragement to help you live free from the weight of perfection. Click here to request your copy.
